The Petzl Glacier Axe is an amazingly light but durable walking and general alpine climbing and mountaineering axe. The lightweight aluminium shaft makes it a dream to carry while the robust steel pick will see you through many seasons on the snow or ice. The shape of the pick is specifically designed to bite hard into snow or alpine ice for self arresting and for anchoring. This is an excellent choice for anyone going above the snow line or alpine climbers and mountaineers climbing on lower angle terrain. The Petzl Glacier Axe is supplied with a LINKIN leash.
